It took him far too long to realize that his life would not be spared. Nothing in his universe would come to his rescue. No one would brush the dirt off his back and ask him, "You alright? Let's get you home then, shall we?" It was as though all the celestial bodies got together and said, "Let's just ignore this one here," as they turned their dark sides toward him; completely erasing him from existence.
He suddenly realized this and he began to pout.
"Well that's just great," Thomas Deseest grumbled to himself as he floated on, away from everything and towards nothing, "what am I supposed to do now?"
It was then that he realized that if nothing knew that he existed, then he, himself should not know that he existed or that he, himself was, in fact, nothing.
And in that very instance, Thomas Deseest ceased to exist.
